History
Located in Mortagne-au-Perche in Normandy, our Manufacture perpetuates the know-how it has inherited from more than 300 years of manufacturing.
Historically, Cirier was the Royal Wax Manufacture. It produced and supplied candles for worship and the lighting of princely residencies.
Today, Cirier perpetuates a centuries-old know-how that has constantly adapted to the needs of its time, while embracing the most modern techniques. Attention to detail and human know-how remain at the heart of the company.
The Art
of Candle Making
The candlemaker, like an alchemist, marries ingredients with precision to create a unique olfactory experience. The use of the highest quality raw materials and ingredients combined with the mastery of time-honored craftsmanship ensures that our candles offer optimal burning quality.
Today, the candle market is booming and constantly evolving. Our team can help you develop your collection of scented candles made in France.
In keeping with its luxury positioning, Cirier offers a custom-made service to suit your needs: from a simple wax filling to the supply of a complete product, including the design, decoration, manufacturing and packing stages.
Our factory offers semi-automatic or manual production, depending on the size of your candles.
Our laboratory can also help you validate your products and meet regulatory requirements.
The ingredients
Cirier selects French and European suppliers for its raw materials, ingredients and packaging (primary and secondary).
We produce candles using mixed waxes or 100% vegetable wax, using for example organic rapeseed oil among others.
CIRIER: a Living Heritage Company
This label is provided by the French Government after rigorous investigation. Its objective is to provide recognition to companies that are emblematic of French industrial or artisanal excellence.
The criteria concern the mastering of advanced know-how, renowned or traditional, generally associated to a specific region. They allow to clearly underline the high added-value of « made in France » manufacturing.
The « Living Heritage Company » (EPV) label distinguishes manufacturing and know-how excellence. It allows among other things to efficiently value and identity French companies within global competition. Cirier has joined in that manner famous names such as Chaumet, Hermès, crystal maker Saint Louis or Le Bristol Paris Hotel.
